And I feel like my belly will never un-swell!

Still quite crook.  And tired.  (insomnia + the newly installed HotFlash© technology + irrational crying which I KNOW is irrational = BLAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

Look for a further update from the Teabot5000™ soonish.

Caity – sorry to hear it sounds like it is getting you down. It is a shame you have to endure the menopause symptoms but at least some of the others will ease soon – at least lets hope so (she says…) I am sure the good side of this will show up soon. Look forward to seeing you out and about soon’ish… let me know when you are up to another visit…

I’m so glad to see you up and about a bit, even though you feel ghastly. Crying – well, it isn’t irrational at all; you’re recovering from major surgery and you’re on a hormonal roller coaster. Things are just going to have to go day by day, or perhaps hour by hour, for awhile.

May I recommend Jenny Bowker’s Postcards from Egypt blog for the nights with insomnia? I’ve been reading it from start to finish. It’s full of poignant stories and cinematic detail, as well as marvelous photos. (http://jennybowker.blogspot.com/)

I’m also inordinately fond of the Dark Roasted Blend blog. Avi Abrams, the man who runs it, has a great knack for finding photos which illustrate odd and interesting subject matter. (http://www.darkroastedblend.com/)

    Wishing you the best!

Tanya, funny you should mention Jenny – we were part of the same quilter’s friendship group for a while years ago in Canberra, so I’ve known her for – ummm – must be 12 years or so now! Also been in several long term email groups with Jenny. Love her blog, would leeeeeeeeeerve to go on one of her textile tours…. and my longest sitting UFO quilt is one from Jenny’s class that is too emotional for me to get around to finishing! She really is inspirational and talented.

Dark Roasted blend is great – and have you seen the totally fab and glamorous images at Fabulon?

    Dear Caity,

Ah yes, the wonderful world of the internal combustion when you least want it…. Blankies go on, blankies go off, blankies go on, blankies go off – all fecking night long!!!!!!

Hopefully things will even out soon enough.

I’ve sent a care package up, with some tea (well overdue), and other assorted goodies. It went today to your PO Box.

    Love Annie
