The Plume dress.

Interesting idea, but would it work on a curvy women – especially in a plus size? Course I wouldn’t pay 298 POUNDS for something that’s going to be knocked off in every high street shop anyway. (Unless perhaps it was silk jersey,in aubergine. Then I tend to lose any sense of reason.)

[Found on The Thoughtful Dresser, which is a very cool blog.]

Yes, the dress certainly made my imagination take flight:

Male companion: “My dear! Where did you find such an astounding array of dresses in exactly the same fabric? You’ve had a different one for each day of this trip!”

Woman smiles coyly. “It’s all thanks to my Cocoon dress.”

Male companion: “Mmff. Say, do you smell something funny? A trifle off?”

Unfortunately, only a few of the variations look like something one of us mere mortals would actually feel comfortable in. The rest look like horrific mistakes by the Space: 1999 costuming department.

I have a rule – Never buy a dress that you need an instructional video to tell you how to put it on!

    Ditto.
I was wondering how long it took her to learn that dance?

I think this dress missed the 80′s.

I can see me wearing it in the 80′s, but in 2008?
    I think not!
