I reckon Mr Beloved is fine for his cyberspace identity! He doesn't really do people....

When I was little, people thought I was destined to be either a librarian or a teacher. What I wanted to do when I grew up was either a) drive the big bulldozers at the town tip or b) be a lady on Playschool.

So much for childhood ambition!

(These days I'd just like to be well enough to work part time. At anything, really!)

I'm sorry Caity - I need a bit of time to think on that one - I like Mr Beloved's (may I call him that? - or is too personal for someone I have not met?) comment - yes you may need a librarian when I see your love of literature and books of all kinds...

All RIGHTY then!

1. Ubuntu Hacks Tips & Tools for Exploring, Using, and Tuning Linux - By Kyle Rankin, Jonathan Oxer, Bill Childers (http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/ubuntuhks/)

2. The Jack Vance Integral Edition (okay, I'm cheating here with twenty-two volumes: http://www.vanceintegral.com/ )

3. The (Even More) Compleat Feghoot - By Grendel Briarton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferdinand_Feghoot refers)

4. The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions: The Official Story of the Abbey Road Years 1962-1970 - By Mark Lewisohn (http://www.amazon.com/review/product/0600612074)

5. (I'm cheating here.) A personalised version of Brian Eno & Peter Schmidt's "Oblique Strategies" with additional cards to cover some of the areas where I encounter creative block. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oblique_Strategies)

Of course, with a joint collection like ours, a librarian would be more immediate use than Yet MORE BOOKS!
