I’m 40 today.
Mum and Dad sent me a lovely home made card (with a cheque that is going straight to buying fabric at Gardams!) and my friend Di from quilting gave me some beautiful green and pink fabrics for the Tuesday monster quilt.
I am so grateful for my friends and family; for the help I’m getting to improve my health; for my little dog, cat, and birds, and most of all for Mr Beloved. (Whose birthday is tomorrow but shhh - he doesn’t do birthdays.)

Happy birthday to you and happy shopping at Gardams! All the very best with your weight loss efforts (from a fellow pudge ball!) - I know how hard it is.
My Mum and Dad actually live in Toowoomba now they’re retired - I and my brothers all went through boarding school there. You’re right; it’s very quiet and some things are very expensive. Better than it used to be though!

Hippo Birdies to you Caity!!!
I did pop a little something in the mail yesterday so I hope it reaches your mailbox today. Tell me is that “Hippo Birdees to meeee” from Winnie the Poo? It has set me searching the house for one of the few picture books I owned as a child which was about Eeyore’s bithday? I have searched the bookshelf and even ventured into Sean’s room but I would need to bring in the time team to dig through the layers if it does happen to be in there. Not that I think he has read it lately but I do remember he used to take it to rest paper against while he sketched!
Anyway have the bestest day and do fun things only…

Hope you had a very happy birthday today Caity and put your feet up, and got waited on by Mr Beloved. Life begins at forty - I truly believe that - only because I’m 50 somethin. No, really, there are many, many more happy times to look forward to.
