Well, not literally true - there were only three teeny spots of blood. (Two injections in my back, and the whacking great cannula in the crook of my left arm.)
But the OW! is fair dinkum. My back actually feels WORSE after the procedure… bugger bugger bugger BUGGER!!
Apparently this happens - it’s supposed to settle down “in a few days.”
Grumph.
As pre the doctor’s orders, I was out at the shops after being released from the hospital - walking; and I did about 10 minutes of vacuuming; but now sitting up again is NOT nice and I am going to go lie down. And take more painkillers.
OOOOOOOOOOOW!!!
Still, beats the alternative:

Thanks, Di. It’s not actually all that much worse than a usual bad pain day - I was hoping that it would be so much better. Patience has NEVER been my strong point!

I know it’s perverse of me, but I think the guy holding the giant pair of scissors is, well, kind of attractive in a woolly kind of way. Of course, he’d be much more attractive without the scissors. Probably a bath wouldn’t do any harm, either.
Levity aside, I’m sorry for the extreme pain. I’ll keep my various appendages crossed that in a few days, the procedure will have made things better.

Tanya, I know! HOT in a kinda geeky way…. I looked at him and thought “Geeze, he’d scrub up ok!” too! It’s that eye twinkle, ya know? Like Mr Beloved, and also like GEORGE (Clooney), SEAN (Connery), and even EWAN (McGregor) - give me some sparkly, mischievous, intelligence and I’m THERE, baby! Swoooon! (Also - kd, Natalie from the Chixies, or Catherine Zeta Jones - I’m an equal opportunity swooner!)
